Embark on an unforgettable overnight adventure in the heart of Saleh Bay, Sumbawa — home to one of the world’s most magical marine encounters: swimming alongside Whale Sharks. This 2-day, 1-night liveaboard experience combines wildlife, island-hopping, and starlit serenity for an experience you’ll treasure forever.

What To Expect

Day 1

  • 11:30 – Pick-up and Greeting at Sultan Kaharuddin Airport (SWQ)
    Your guide will be waiting at the arrival area to warmly welcome you. Assistance will be provided with luggage and any immediate needs before starting the scenic drive to Teluk Santong. This drive offers glimpses of Sumbawa’s countryside, fishing villages, and coastal views.
  • 13:00 – Arrival at Teluk Santong & Boat Boarding
    Once you reach Teluk Santong, you will board a comfortable  boat. Safety briefings and a short introduction to the journey will be given before setting off.
  • 13:00 – Sailing Towards Gili Lampe
    Begin your maritime journey through the clear waters of Saleh Bay, heading towards Gili Lampe. This small tropical island is known for its calm atmosphere and stunning views.
  • 14:30 – Chilling Out on the Pristine Beach
    Step onto Gili Lampe’s untouched sandy beach. You’ll have time to relax, swim, sunbathe, take photos, or simply enjoy the serenity of the island.
  • 15:00 – Move to Gili Meriam
    Depart Gili Lampe for Gili Meriam, another small island with white sands, crystal waters, and vibrant marine life. The short boat ride between islands offers beautiful ocean scenery.
  • 15:30 – Exploring Gili Meriam & Beach Barbeque
    Enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach, take a dip in the turquoise waters, or snorkel (if available). In the late afternoon, a freshly prepared beach barbeque will be served — a highlight of the day with local seafood and island flavors.
  • 18:00 – Move to Tanjung Padang
    After the barbeque, the boat will head to Tanjung Padang for the evening. Watch the sky turn golden and pink during the sunset from the boat’s deck.
  • 19:30 – Overnight at Tanjung Padang
    Settle in for the night at Tanjung Padang, where you’ll either stay on the boat or in local accommodation (depending on the package). Enjoy the peaceful sound of the ocean before resting for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 2

  • 05:30 – Sunrise Cruise to Whale Shark Point
    Wake up early and set off by boat towards the famous Whale Shark point in Saleh Bay. As you glide over calm morning waters, witness the breathtaking beauty of the Sumbawa sunrise — a golden glow reflecting off the ocean, with surrounding islands slowly emerging in the light.
  • 06:00 – Swimming with Whale Sharks
    Arrive at the Whale Shark site and prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Equipped with snorkel gear, you’ll enter the water to swim alongside the gentle giants of the sea. These magnificent creatures can reach up to 12 meters in length yet are completely harmless. You’ll have plenty of time to observe their graceful movements and capture unforgettable photos.
  • 08:00 – Departure from Whale Shark Point
    After your close encounter, it’s time to say goodbye to the Whale Sharks. The boat will head back towards Teluk Santong, giving you one last chance to enjoy the bay’s stunning seascapes.
  • 10:00 – Arrival at Teluk Santong
    Disembark at Teluk Santong, where your land transfer awaits. Freshen up and get ready for the next leg of your journey.
  • 10:20 – Transfer to Sumbawa Besar
    Travel by car through scenic coastal roads and rural landscapes, offering a glimpse into Sumbawa’s local life and culture.
  • 12:30 – Lunch in Sumbawa Besar (Optional)
    Stop at a local restaurant in Sumbawa Besar for lunch. Guests can choose from fresh seafood, Indonesian dishes, and local specialties (meals not included unless stated in package).
  • 14:00 – Transfer to Hotel
    After lunch, continue your journey to your hotel.
  • Arrival at Hotel
    Check in, unpack, and relax after an exciting day. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure, either exploring nearby attractions or simply resting for tomorrow’s activities.
