Whale shark sightings are naturally unpredictable because they are wild animals, but our local boat crew and fishermen have extensive knowledge of the area and work to provide the best possible opportunity to encounter them.

What To Expect

  • 02:30 AM – Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Sumbawa Besar. Begin the scenic 1,5 hour drive to Labu Jambu Village, then transfer directly to the harbor for boarding.

  • 04:00 AM – Loading & Embark on a boat and cruise under the stars toward the whale sharks spots

  • 06:00 AM – Arrive at Whale Shark spots Our crew provides snorkeling and swimming gear, ensuring a safe and unforgettable encounter with these gentle giants.

  • 08:00 AM – Enjoy a light breakfast served on the boat, including bread, fresh fruit, coffee, and tea.

  • 08.30 AM – After everyone finishes snorkeling or swimming, we leave Whale Shark Point and head back toward the harbor.

  • 09:30 AM – Heading to the Harbor, prepare for your journey return to Sumbawa Besar.

  • 11:00 AM – Transfer back to Hotel / Airport in Sumbawa town  the end of your whale shark adventure. (end of service)

  • Flexible tour dates may be available upon request, subject to availability.
  • As the services to be provided by Sumbawa Whale Sharks, the guests are able to book from several months in advance to confirm your booking!
  • Or you have already in town Sumbawa Besar, don’t hesitate to send us  messages for availability.
  • Cancellation more than 3 days before the scheduled tour: A cancellation fee of 25% of the total booking price will apply.
  • Cancellation within 3 days of the scheduled tour or on the tour date: The deposit is non-refundable. However, you may reschedule your tour to another available date at no additional charge.
  • No-show on the scheduled tour date: All payments made are non-refundable, regardless of whether prior notice of cancellation was provided.
